TOKYO ART CLUB Winter Antique Bazaar Dec. 3 and 4, 2016 Time: 10 a.m.-6 p.m. (Sat), 10 a.m.-4 p.m. (Sun) This is a traditional style of an antique bazaar since 1952. It is a great opportunity people to purchase works of art (paintings and crafts), which prices start from 20,000 JPY. (Credit cards are accepted.) You can also join the charity auction event. History: Soon afater the Meiji Restoration in 1867, the art dealing gradually began to be active. In 1892, there was a grand auction held at a Japanese-style restaurant at Akasaka. Because of the inconvenience of renting the spaces for art auctions, we decided to purchase our own building when the Iseheiro Japanse-style restaurant at Ryogoku was for sale, and that was when the Tokyo Art CLub. Co., Ltd was establshed. Over one hundred years, Tokyo Art Club has been making substantial contribution to the cultural life of Japanese people by handing down the highest standard of art, and seeking new coming art.
