TATEBAYASHI CARP STREAMERS FESTIVAL
| Along and over the Tsuruuda River, numerous carp streamers are flown. In
2005 they counted some 5283 carp on the streamers, which was acknowledged
to be a World Record for the number of koinobori being flown. In Japan, there is a custom, which exhibits carp shaped colorful streamers as we wish to have good growing for boys. About 5,000 of the colorful carp banners are trailed at the five places in the city. The night time light up also is very gorgeous.
